Two fun GPP hands and some PLO

Thought these two hands were interesting. Happened back-to-back.

He had 87 and pot odds be damned when you got a chance to knock out a short stack. 83% equity there against this guy holding only 2nd pair. LOL.

Got moved to another table soon after that and went pretty card dead and had to shove Q5. Got 2 calls cause no fold equity but the BB had a reasonable hand with A8 at least (while the other guy had 76o). The A8 won so that's all fine and dandy I guess.

Earlier today played some PLO, looked like a juicy game but card dead as shit and even when I picked up a hand whiffed the flop hard most of the time. Had 1 hand that I will share.

Shit hand out of position I know but I had been facing a lot of these minraises when I'm in the BB cause I think they know I had been playing tight, so felt I had to defend. Especially shorthanded. Flop a 10 card straight draw and I check/call and then hit on the turn. Villain bets again, I think he has 2 pair a lot of the time here from how I've seen him play during the session, but just looking to raise it and even take it down now in case he has redraws. I get called and after the spade hits on the river I have $.37 left, so what can I do but ship it in there?

Turns out he had a really good hand for that spot; set with a spade redraw. Ran the #s on cardplayer's equity calc and I'm even money against him going into the river. That's poker I guess and Omaha in particular. Rebought and made a tiny bit of it back but then the game quickly broke up and it was this villain and me playing heads up for 2 hands before he sits out as well. So overall ended up down about 55 big blinds for the session.
