LOL Redproaments

Image
Alright so I haven't updated in a while, also haven't been playing either. Recently Full Tilt offered me a $50 bonus without having to make a deposit so I've been playing a little bit. Probably only going to clear $10 of the bonus, really just can't get into playing much anymore with work and other stuff like bowling, which I've really gotten into over the past 4 months occupying my time. Anyway, tonight I sat down at a $100 PLO8 table. Morris Chestnut was at the table and I wa able to jump in and be top on the waiting list because it's PLO8. After about 10 minutes I got in. It was a pretty boring game, not much action, most of the table was playing tight. I thought there would be more action with a red pro being at the table and was hoping to see some hold'em donks occupying some seats at this table. I was up a few dollars when this hand took place. Update

I haven't been playing poker much at all lately, hence the lack of posting. Last time I played was about a week ago for a brief $50NL 6-max session on Tilt. Had a few interesting hands. First hand I had QQ in MP, I raised to $2, player to my right in the CO made it $6, and it's folded back to me. I could really see calling as I would be out of position postflop and I really won't know where I'm at if the flop comes down 3 babies. So I make a smallish reraise to $14. I figure I will find out right there if he has AA or KK. Some players might play it tricky and just smooth call with AA or KK, but mostly at this level the play is straightforward. He ended up folding and I took it down. Not a bad result at all. A few orbits later I get AA UTG and raise to $2 again. The same player reraises me UTG+1 to $6 again. It's folded back to me and based on the last hand of course I make the same exact play and reraise to $14 again. Obviously I want to make it look like a steal b

Update

Haven't been playing much poker lately, thus the reason there have been no posts in nearly 3 weeks. Today the WSOP started with the coveted $500 Casino Employees event. I remember following that event last year, when it was actually the final event of the WSOP. It came down to Gavin Griffin and Corbin Doyle, both of which found last minute casino jobs so they could enter the tournament. Griffin ended up making a deal for the bracelet, turns out he made a prop bet that he would win another bracelet within 5 years of winning his first, and that tournament was his last chance. Good stuff. Anyway, Full Tilt also started its "Mini Series of Poker" which mirrors the WSOP events but with 1% of the buy-in. Thankfully, one did not need to be employed by an online casino to enter this corresponding $5+$50 tournament. 8,297 people entered, and even 2 red pros (Gabriella Hill and Chris Glecz) participated.  As for the tournament itself, not really much to tell. Stacks started at 3,00

FTOPS

So FTOPS started on Wednesday and similar to SCOOP, there are lower buyin tournaments to give us small time players a chance to participate. Looked at the schedule and it wasn't looking good for me to be able to participate, but a late change in my work schedule gave me a rare weekend off, so no better way to kick it off than some Friday night stud. Buyin was $22 and over 1500 participated (as opposed to 500 for the $216 event. Here's some fun hands.
