Four fuckin people call the raise so of course with the overpair on the flop I have no other choice but to go all-in. Thought I was going to take it down but this idiot can't let his 54go and gets rewarded on the turn and makes an even better hand on the river just to add insult to injury. Even if it's possible I could have a hand like AQthere would you really want to risk most of your chips on that? Just when I thought people were playing better in this. The "freerolling scum" that have no money on the site one would think would try to play reasonably in these in order to last longer and give themselves a chance. Not like they can go jump into another tourney or cash game if they bust. Second straight week of exiting early in the Sunday night freeroll.

Gotta take the good with the bad I guess. Last night played in a $.05/$.10 cash game and same kinda deal. Played tight and then picked up a hand:

A lot of people would have fired out on that flop but I like checking a lot of flops out of position. End up getting two streets of value out of this guy when he turns a pair and can't find the fold button. Ended up being a shortish session, gave a little of it back when I tried raising Q8in the HJ when the CO (who was sitting out) posted the BB and a dead SB, so there was money out there. Unfortunately he called and the button reraised. Had to give it up, CO called, and on a KJxx board the button bet pot on two streets before the CO folded, so it looked like he had a legit hand at least.

Lastly I've been watching some of the WSOP coverage. Have today's on the DVR, watching the rest of it as we speak but had an interesting hand earlier with Hellmuth and this other guy Vang, Hellmuth opens 53in late position and Vang reraises him with K♠9♠ from the button. Hellmuth calls. Flop comes T♠9♣6and both players check. Turn 6♠ and Hellmuth leads for 9k into 15k. Vang with a pair and a flush draw isn't going anywhere so he calls. River 7. At this point Vang has about a pot sized bet behind and Hellmuth shoves the river to put him all-in. Vang calls quickly and picks him off!

So of course we get a speech from Hellmuth and the commentators are going off about he shouldn't be demeaning other players and so forth, but this time it was pretty benign to be honest. Phil mostly berated himself and said that it was his fault and he should have waited for a hand to get his chips in there against that guy cause he knew he was going to give him the money. He did also say Vang is either going to have a million or be broke. Yeah, there was some backhanded stuff in there but if that's the worst we're going to get out of Phil in the Main Event then we should take it. Maybe his trip to the Galápagos Islands calmed him down a bit.
