Alright so I defend with T8 s00ted and really don't have a ton behind here. Actually had topped off once for $.55 already to get back to $5 so I'm basically down a buck and a half going into this hand. Flop top pair but not quite the flop I was looking for with this hand. I'm am woefully out of position as well so I check it. Surprisingly, it checks through. The turn comes a great card for me and I check it again. I expect someone to bet this and I think if there were a bigger hand out there we would have heard from them on the flop. I do get a bet from a pretty aggro player. Thought about just smooth calling here but with how little I have behind I just go ahead and stick it in. He folds and I take it down.

Yeah so my flat here probably would be met with ire by the readership if anyone actually read this blog but hate reraising out of position. Bloat the pot in exchange for not really much fold equity I feel. I'm surprised to see the BB call as well but it is what it is. I flop top pair again on a wet board and check. It checks through. Hard to imagine the PFR whiffed this flop but I'm putting him on 99/88/77 as his most likely holdings. Turn pairs the T and worried a bit about that cause someone might be in there with a hand like T9 or T8. Going for a check/call line here but nobody bets. Turn is a harmless 6 and I gotta lead out and see if I can get a few calls from worse. BB obliges me and the others fold. Really surprised he called with that hand (with 2 players to act behind especially) but I'm glad I got something out of it.

So yet another hand where I come along for the ride and flop top pair. In position this time and I decide to check it back. Lot of opponents here and a chance I could be put in a really tough spot with a checkraise. May not be best right now. Let's wait for a blank turn and see what the action is. Unfortunately we do not get a blank turn and I get bet into. Even though it's a small bet gotta figure I'm beat and I let it go. Both had top pair and the guy with A♥7♥ was never folding to my flop bet anyway.
Called it a night shortly after that, booking a winning session of $2.68. I'm sure my cash NLHE game is not all that strong right now.. I do follow a lot of the vlogs on youtube and these guys are not afraid to put raises in with marginal holdings or even get it all-in on the flop as a slight favorite. Not my game. Most likely giving up EV in some spots but willing to do so in order to reduce variance. Goal is to try to obviously keep our bankroll and grow it but also to not get burned out by the game this time.
