He SNAP called with K♠9. This was not a stop and go since I was the preflop aggressor but the same principle applies. I have 1 bet left on the flop, acted first, and stuck it in. This guy has no pair, no draw, and better yet, no overcards and still calls! It was awesome getting it in as a 97-3 favorite.

Ended up making a run in this. 65 out of 76 left when I jumped in at the end of late reg so decided to take the add-on tonight and thanks to a hand like the one above got down to around 30 left relatively quickly. Get AA in the SB and raise, BB shoves and I call. He has KQ. Flop K66, turn x, river Q. Sorry, your two pair is NO GOOD. So that was a huge double up and I cruise to the final two tables. Then had a hand in an unraised pot where I elected to just complete in the SB with ATo. Flop comes AJ5, checked to the button who bets small, BB folds, I call. Turn 2, I check, he doesn't have much left, bets like 18k and leaves himself 2k behind or something like that. I cover and decide to just go with it and put him in for the rest. He has AJ. Sigh. Motherfucking open limpers. Raise or fold motherfuckers. Listen to Fricke!

Get lucky shortly after that though. 1 limper and I have like 8BBs left and am in the BB with KJo. So I shove, and I get called. He has QQ, fuck! But I spike a K on the river and stay alive. They actually are paying 15 tonight and we get to the money pretty quickly after that. From there I cruise to the final table and we start with 8 players as there were 2 knockouts with 10 left on one hand at my table.

Get down to 5 handed and I get a huge run of cards, pick up TT twice, 88, and a few Ax hands. Never get called but take a ton of blind/ante money and I'm in the chip lead. But the 5 handed play goes on and on and on and there are a few all-ins but nobody is getting knocked out. Lose a pot where I raised button with J9 and the shorty from the BB shoves and it's like 13k into 60 for me to call so I put it in and am live, but lose to his Ax. End up getting the stack back up with some blinds steals then this happens:

Played this hand about as good as I could play it. I just call the flop bet and check the turn and river. I figured he either had a flush or nothing. He has a J he's betting turn. So I want to give him a chance to bluff at it on the river and expected him to ship it in there. Instead he checks back K high. So I was correct to check it over to him cause I certainly wasn't getting paid off. Nothing I could do there.

Ended up playing 40 hands of 5 handed play. Got JJ UTG and with blinds 4000/8000 with a 1000 ante and 47768 left at that point I open jammed UTG and got called by the BB who I slightly covered. He had AQ and spiked an ace on the flop and no miracle 2 outer for me. Very next hand I'm in the BB all-in for less than 4000 with 9♠2♠ and the runout is not in my favor.

Collected $3.54 for the 5th place finish but really felt I was going to win this tournament and went from being in a great position to being out. So that was tough pill to swallow but considering I needed a miracle on the river to even make the money so I'll take it.
