And it's back
The LOLMAHA returned, for tonight anyway. Only 1 player was registered so I jumped in so it would run. Nobody else registered so we actually played heads up the whole time. Came down to two key hands.
I had a small chip lead and got K♣Q♦J♥7♣ OTB. I just limped, he raised to 100 with 10/20 blinds and I called. Flop Th9d8d and he pots it for 200. I make it 800 and we get it all-in. He had A♥3♥T♦5♦ and after a blank 4 on the turn the river is the 6♦ and I'm decimated. Had like 200 left, got it all-in the next hand and lost. I elect to re-buy.
Getting blown out of the water after the rebuy but had a hand where I semi-bluffed the turn with a straight and flush draw, hit the broadway straight with a K on the river, and just shoved for like 1.5x the pot. He called and mucked two pair, with the K helping his hand as well.
After that had K♥8♥J♣2♣ in the BB with blinds 15/30 at this point. He raised to 75, I defended. Flop J♥9♣4♥, he bets 180 (and had been c-betting a lot), I make it 720, he tanks and then shoves. I call and he has Q♠Q♥J♦7♥. Turn T♣ and despite not having the best made hand I'm actually a 55/45 favorite to win with one card to come. River is the useless 4s and I'm down to the felt again. Had like 110 left at that point, manage to get a double up the next hand but still have to gamble and lose on the hand after that.
So in both of the key all-ins got it in as a favorite (58/42 the first time and 60/40 the second time) and lost both. However, I still got a payout for my 2nd place finish so got $.45 back which means only losing a little more than 1 buy-in rather than the full two. LOL.
