First ever bomb pot!!!

Fired up ACR to see if the few bucks I had on there was still in my account and my $2.72 balance was there waiting for me. Found a $.02/$.05 PLO8 game and decided to jump in for a quick sesh. Joined a full ring game that had 3 empty seats and noticed a few changes. First, the player names are hidden if you're not sitting in the game. Second, there's the option to run it twice (although that may have existed before, don't remember). Lastly, when I jumped in I got a message saying this table has bomb pots every 15 minutes. Everyone posts 3 big blinds, gets their 4 cards, and we go right to the flop. Good stuff.

I jump in the game and check "wait for BB" but the bomb pot hand takes place prior to my BB coming around and I am actually dealt into that hand. I go to the flop with this wonderful hand against 6 other players: 8♦J♠4♥5♣.

Flop comes down 6♥A♥9♥, I'm actually first to act and check. Someone bet so I can release this hand immediately. Nope, checks around. Turn 5♦, checked around again. River: 5♠. Ok, trips against a bunch of random hands may be good for half here, no one has shown any strength. But in my shitty position I can only check. So I do and it checks around to the button who pots it. Ugh. I can't possibly call and one by one the rest of the players drop, so no idea what button had.

Played it perfectly! So perfect in fact that I elected to show the hand to the table after I collected the pot. Obviously I gotta pump it up preflop even though no one ever folds to a reraise in this game ever. I'm probably committed on basically any flop but this one is a very good one and happy to stick it in. Ok with taking it down right there as well. 

Left the table shortly after that with $5.10 and just decided to get out of there at that point with my "entire bankroll" on the line. But really impressed with the changes ACR made and like having the bomb pots to spice it up, even as a nit. Or shall I say especially as a nit. I'm guaranteed to see a flop at least once every 15 minutes!

Had another bad session yesterday. Actually I didn't play badly at all, I just took two horrible beats. I was taking a shot at NL $50 too. Lost to JJ twice. Alright so I haven't updated in a while, also haven't been playing either. Recently Full Tilt offered me a $50 bonus without having to make a deposit so I've been playing a little bit. Probably only going to clear $10 of the bonus, really just can't get into playing much anymore with work and other stuff like bowling, which I've really gotten into over the past 4 months occupying my time. Anyway, tonight I sat down at a $100 PLO8 table. Morris Chestnut was at the table and I wa able to jump in and be top on the waiting list because it's PLO8. After about 10 minutes I got in. It was a pretty boring game, not much action, most of the table was playing tight. I thought there would be more action with a red pro being at the table and was hoping to see some hold'em donks occupying some seats at this table. I was up a few dollars when this hand took place. Fantasy Football Spreadsheet

A few days ago I was looking online for a point calculator for fantasy football (too cheap to spend the $10 on StatTracker). Something where I can enter the players stats and calculate the total points. Unable to find one, I made it myself, in excel. I figure it might be useful to someone who happens to come across this post, so here's the link to it. It uses the default yahoo league configurations, so if your league is different you'll have to go and change some of the numbers in the formulas, or positions, or whatever. Otherwise you put the stats in the left hand column, and the points will appear on the right. I made it so there are no partial points, and so it rounds down. For example, if your QB has 249 passing yards, you will get exactly 9 points, not 10, not 9.9. The only points it does not calculate is points allowed for team defenses.
