LOL Donkaments

Sorry about the colors being screwed up in this post. I can't seem to fix it without fucking something else up in the code, so screw it. Some red and blue never hurt anyone. I played a $5+R satellite to the Sunday Million. We started out with 1500 stacks and we could get 1500 more for another $5, which I took. Here's some interesting hands. This first one comes from the 3rd level, with 25/50 blinds. PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: HTML) UTG (t2825) UTG+1 (t4510) MP1 (t3150) MP2 (t4305) CO (t1655) Hero (t2805) SB (t3225) BB (t2312) Preflop: Hero is Button with 6 , 7 . 2 folds , MP1 calls t50, 2 folds , Hero raises to t200 , 1 fold , BB calls t150, MP1 calls t150. I had been playing tight and I thought this was the time to make a little bit of a move. I have th button and some kind of hand, and I'm going to try and isolate the limper and hope something breaks well for me after ...

Bullshit

Hand #1117191 Hand #1117189 Hand #1117188 Hand #1117187 Hand #1117185 Too upset to discuss these hands except to say that when I had the set of Ts and got capped on the river it just had to be ace motherfucking king, didn't it? So I was too pissed to pay him off. Go from 4.95 BB/100 to -2.77 BB/100 in one session. I worked too hard for this. I'm never going to get my chance, am I. Everybody else is a superstar. They get on ESPN and get to play in the Sunday Million and I never get to do any of those things. I can't even beat the motherfucking micro-limits. It's bullshit. I play aggressive - I just end up spewing money to better hands I slow down and play passive - it doesn't work, I end up paying off better hands or folding the best hand. I don't know what to do anymore. I've been playing for 2 years and I can't move up. I don't know what it is. I think I play well enough. These donkeys just cold call all day and get lucky. It just sucks.

I've been getting frustrated playing no-limit, just generally running bad, maybe getting pushed around a little bit, so I decided to give limit hold'em a try, just for fun. Limit was my original game when I started playing, and moved to no-limit when the games started drying up. Well, apparently limit has made a comeback on the online internet, or at least at $.50/$1 6-max on Stars. Wow, are the players bad. There seem to be least two people at every table who are playing at least 60% of the hands, habitually cold calling raises (with bullshit hands like A2o and K6o too). Furthermore, they are very passive, both before and after the flop. They love to limp and then peel cards off with marginal draws (or backdoor draws) and then call down with really bad hands. I really don't want people to know how juicy these games are, so I'm posting it here. This is great because all of the advice in Small Stakes Hold'em is once again, relevant. Pushing your edges, value betting...
