Freerolling Scum
Haven't been playing much lately but got in the freeroll last night. Tired and didn't expect to last very long in this. Last week I actually played it as well and was almost relieved when I was all-in with top 2 pair and some donkey who shoved on me hit his flush on the river so I could shut the computer off and go to bed.

Had a hand with this villain a little earlier where I had AQo and he called my PFR. Flop came wetter than a hentai chick with all lower cards so checked it back and then folded to a pot sized turn bet. Wanted to check to him this time to see if he was going to try and run over the table. Had been pretty active. On the turn and river I had to do my own bidding but I still thought he'd call me light. I pick up a good sized pot despite his fold.

Figured I was priced in to call the turn and when I made the straight on the river I didn't love my hand so went into check/call mode. Don't want to lead out and get blown off the hand with a raise when I may be chopping or even be best against a 2 pair type of hand.

Up against AJ here. Usually hate calling it off in these spots with AK but just looks like a AQ/AJ/KQ type of hand a lot of times here with the open shove. Or possibly one of the other AK combos. So I'm virtually never behind and I have bed equity if I lose anyway. Turns out I get a clean runout and now I'm top 10 in chips with I believe a little over 100 left at this point.
Get moved to another table and I'm starting to bleed chips with the escalating blinds and being priced in to call all-ins with weak hands but getting like 4:1. Get in another such spot:

Turns out I sucked out against QQ which put him at the top of his range but mathematically I'm still priced in to call against that. Before we know it we're in the money with 50 remaining. Table breaks when it gets down to 45 and I get moved again. Win a few pots at that table shoving A♥4♥ and AKo and picking up the blinds/antes. We get down to 27 and the table breaks again and I once again get seated at a new table.

Got called by ten motherfucking nine who despite having zero chance of ever being ahead here has no problem calling it off. The other guy had QJ so had one of my outs in his hand. I do win the side pot but it's little consolation as I have just 5600 left. Two hands later I stick it in UTG.

Couldn't get redemption aginst Mr. T9o and I am vanquished. When I started the hand there were 21 left but someone got knocked out prior to me so I get the pay jump for 20th which was $3.90. I'll take it but losing that KQ hand hurt. Had a chance to be in a really good chip positon if I take that down and make another FT run. But for not really wanting to play finishing in the top 20 is a good result.
