Some Omaha8

Had $.46 on PokerStars and decided to take a shot at the Omaha8 tables. Started with $.02/$.04 limit. Here's how it went.

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Omaha/8 (7 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: HTML)

Preflop: Hero is SB with As, Ah, 9s, Js.
1 fold, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button calls.

Raise it up with aces. Not sure if that's the correct play, as I have a high only hand.

Flop: (12 SB) Ks, 7s, 3d (6 players)
Hero bets, BB calls, MP1 calls, MP2 folds, CO calls, Button calls.

Follow through on the flop with the nutterball to go along with my aces.

Turn: (8.50 BB) Tc (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Button checks.

Check here but I'm not sure it's the right play. Still have some equity and probably more than 1 player with a low draw or lower flush draw in here.

River: (8.50 BB) Kh (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero folds, BB folds, MP1 calls, CO folds.

Miss my flush, top card pairs, and I know I'm toast, so I fold.

Final Pot: 10.50 BB

Results:
MP1 has Kc 9h 2d Ac (High: three of a kind, kings).
Button has Qd Kd 6h 9c (High: three of a kind, kings).

Outcome: MP1 wins 10.50 BB.

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Omaha/8 (7 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: HTML)

Preflop: Hero is SB with Ah, 5h, 6d, 2d. MP1 posts a blind of $0.02.
1 fold, MP1 (poster) checks, 1 fold, CO calls, Button raises, Hero calls, BB calls, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Pretty good hand with A2 and flush & straight possibilities for high, but with the button raising I decide just to call.

Flop: (10 SB) 5c, 2s, Ac (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero calls, BB calls, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Flop three pair, but no low. When the button bet I just called again, dunno if that's the right play, but I know I'm getting half at best here.

Turn: (7.50 BB) Qs (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero calls, BB calls, MP1 calls, CO calls.

Check/call again, dunno.

River: (12.50 BB) Kc (5 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP1 checks, CO checks, Button bets, Hero folds, BB calls, MP1 folds, CO calls.

Fold, figuring I'm beat. Probably played this hand back asswards.

Final Pot: 15.50 BB

Results:
BB has 3d Ts 7d 3h (Low: 7, 5, 3, 2, A | High: one pair, threes).
CO has 9d Kh Ad Kd (High: three of a kind, kings).
Button has 5d 2h 3s 7h (Low: 7, 5, 3, 2, A | High: two pair, fives and twos).

Outcome: CO wins 7.75 BB. Button wins 3.87 BB. BB wins 3.87 BB.

PokerStars 0.02/0.04 Omaha/8 (7 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: HTML)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 5c, Ah, 4c, 6h.
UTG calls, MP1 raises, MP2 calls, Hero calls, Button calls, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls.

Call here with the straight & flush possibilities knowing I have to be careful if I flop a 2nd or 3rd best low.

Flop: (12.50 SB) 5d, 6d, Tc (6 players)

BB checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, Hero raises, Button calls, BB folds, UTG calls, MP1 calls, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls, Button calls, UTG calls, MP1 calls.

Easy raise I think since MP1 probably bets aces here or some other shitty overpair. Of course I'm trying to thin the field as well to help my low draw, but no one is folding A2 or A3 in this game ever. When he 3-bets I decide to call and hope for a blank turn.

Turn: (13.75 BB) 6s (5 players)

UTG checks, MP1 bets, MP2 calls, Hero raises, Button folds, UTG calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Best turn ever. Easy raise now. If he has TT, so be it.

River: (21.75 BB) 9d (4 players)

UTG checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, CO bets, UTG calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

Low draws be damned.

Final Pot: 25.75 BB

Results:
UTG has 7s 2d 7d Kc (High: flush, nine high).
MP1 has Ac Qc Ad 2h (High: two pair, aces and sixes).
MP2 has 5s Td 7h 4s (High: two pair, tens and sixes).
Hero has 5c Ah 4c 6h (High: full house, sixes full of fives).

Outcome: Hero wins 25.75 BB.

That pot gave me enough to play $.01/$.02 pot-limit, so I bid adieu to this game.

This was my first hand. Flopped the nut low draw, but it became too expensive to draw to half the pot. Fortunately running queens came anyhow.

UTG ($0.96)

UTG calls $0.02, Hero raises to $0.09, SB calls $0.08, BB calls $0.07, UTG calls $0.07.

A22x with two clubs I think is a good enough hand to raise in position.

Flop: ($0.36) Jd, 3c, Qd (4 players)

SB bets $0.06, BB calls $0.06, UTG calls $0.06, Hero calls $0.06.

Some donkey weak leads and I can't really raise. My backdoor flush and low draw allows me to take one off.

Turn: ($0.60) 5h (4 players)

SB bets $0.04, BB calls $0.04, UTG calls $0.04, Hero calls $0.04.

Now I have the nut low draw so I'm obviously calling four cents.

River: ($0.76) 7d (4 players)

SB bets $0.06, BB raises to $0.48, UTG folds, Hero calls $0.48, SB folds.

BB wakes up and raises. I just flat here because raising with low has gotten me into trouble in the past.

Final Pot: $1.78

Results in white below:
BB has 5c Kd Qc 4d (High: flush, king high).
Hero has 2d 7s Ac 2c (Low: 7, 5, 3, 2, A | High: one pair, sevens).

Outcome: Hero wins $0.89. BB wins $0.89.

Button has 9s 4h Ks 8c (High: two pair, kings and eights).

Outcome: SB wins $0.21. Button wins $0.21.

Just a hand where my lack of experience shows, I think. It was a shorthanded situation and I was lost the entire hand.

Raise here out of position. I'm an A2 monkey I guess, but I do have a pair and suit to the ace for high.

Flop: ($0.50) 5c, 3d, 2d (4 players)

SB checks, Hero bets $0.22, UTG calls $0.22, CO folds, SB folds.

Hit bottom set, second nut low, but not really in love with my hand. Bet about half to see if I can thin the field.

Turn: ($0.94) Js (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks.

Go for pot control here, lot of high hands beat me. He checks behind to lead me to believe he's drawing or weak.

River: ($0.94) 8s (2 players)
BB bets $0.56, UTG calls $0.56.

Nobody really slowplays in this game so I figure he might call light here since it is $.01/$.02 after all, so I throw a value bet out there. Of course, he could have 33/55 and call with that as well but I should take at least half.

Final Pot: $2.06

Results:
Hero has 2c 6s 2s As (Low: 6, 5, 3, 2, A | High: three of a kind, twos).

Free card, but a low draw out there now.

River: ($0.16) Ad (4 players)

Flush comes, bet and a raise, and I'm out of there. Was just looking to show this down with a possible low out there.

Final Pot: $0.36
Results:
UTG has Td Js 3d Ts (High: flush, ace high).
Button has Ac 2d 2s 5d (High: flush, ace high).

I'm beaten, albeit barely. These players suck.

End up getting a great turn and river to scoop. And LOL @ BB. Like that could ever be the best hand.

Ended up turning the $.46 into over $6. Still kind of a n00b at this game but fortunately most of the opposition is just embarrassing level bad.
