Another decent run

Tried playing again this week but no action going on Dragonroom until tonight. Found a $.05/$.10 6-max game that I was able to buy-in for $5. Table was a little wild; I think this site is connected to a sportsbook so I think that's where the player pool was coming from. Lot of loose raises and all-ins. Played very tight and only saw 3 flops out of 45 hands.

After being very card dead picked up A♣Q♣ second to act. UTG limps and I decide to limp behind. I don't mind seeing this pot multiway and I feel like I have a good read of the table and can make good decisions post-flop and get value there. The cutoff player limps, button folds, and the SB raises to $.60. BB and the first limper call. Back to me and with the limpers I now decide to shove for my last $4.20. I pegged SB as a donk so not giving him credit for a good hand here. If he's raising 12% of his hands (77+,A9s+,KTs+,QTs+,JTs,ATo+,KJo+) I'm a 55:45 favorite and with $1.50 in the pot at this point I'm happy to just take it down right now also. But I'm also not in bad shape with even multiple callers who could have suited trash, any low pair, or random Ax or Kx hands.

So I shove, CO folds, SB calls, and the other 2 players fold. I get it in heads up against A♠J♠. Flop comes 8♣2♢A♢ giving us both top pair and me a backdoor flush draw. Turn comes the sweet Q♠ and he's drawing dead. I type "thank you" in the chat and leave 1 hand later before it's my BB. A little hit and run artistry I guess, but I'm on a very short bankroll on this site and I would have been sitting with close to 2/3rds of it in this game. Besides, the Sunday freeroll was about to start.

400 runners tonight in the freeroll with 60 places paying (and a $103.75 first prize). I started out very card dead and had to fold most of my hands. I thought I was going to be eliminated early in the ante stages as I had not been able to get back to the original 1500 stack. But I managed to steal the blinds a few times then get moved to another table. I'm sitting in the BB with JJ when UTG opens for 1500 with 250/500 blinds with a 30 ante. I shove for my final 2200 and he calls with 99 and neither of us improve. That gets me to within 1000 of the average stack and a little bit later pick up A♢K♢ in the BB. A MP player raised and I put the rest of my stack in. Forget what the exact amounts were but I raised enough where he could fold. He decided to call with 66 and I hit a K on the river to stay in the tournament and put myself in pretty good shape going into the break.

Managed to hang around as we got closer to the money with 60 places paying. We were within 10 players of the money when I pick up 77 second to act. Shoved for my final 6 big blinds or so and got called by the cutoff with TT. Did not improve and I was out in 66th. Ah well, was going for the win rather than just trying to sneak in the money so don't regret trying to gamble there. I was also hoping the players would play tighter as we got closer to the money. Obviously not expecting TT+ to fold but could maybe fold out some Ax hands like AT or maybe even AJ/AQ/KQ that would be close to even money with me and 88 or possibly 99 that would have me crushed. Most of the players at the table had me covered but all but 2 of them would have been pretty decimated losing an all-in to me.

But anyway enjoy playing in these and not worrying about the variance or the money or anything like that. Just trying to make the best decision every hand and put myself in a position to hopefully make the final table eventually and possibly win the whole thing.
