 So actually had a coin flip to triple up which of course is a great position to be in especially in Omaha but can't avoid getting unlucky. I do rebuy and make it past the end of the add-on period with 4 remaining and 3 paying. Moron2 was on a heater with most of the chips while my opponents and I were pretty close in chips. Managed to win a few pots and avoided being the bubble boy. After we get down to 3 I had A♣8♣8♠6♦ and defended against moron2 in the BB. He raised to 375 from the SB with 75/150 blinds. Flop came J♦4♣3♣ and he bet 900, I elect to put it in for my final 1300 and change since I think he was trying to buy it and I believed my 8s were good some of the time. Plus had the nut flush draw and an overcard that might also be good.

 He had A♠Q♥7♥7♦ and the turn came the A♦ to give us both top pair but him the lead as he outkicked me. River came the 2♦ to knock me out in 3rd. My instincts were right but once again the worst player gets rewarded. With the 3rd place finish I made my money back less the 5 cent rake. This is how big of a favorite I was when we got it in on the flop. Sigh.

Had another bad session yesterday. Actually I didn't play badly at all, I just took two horrible beats. I was taking a shot at NL $50 too. Lost to JJ twice. One hand I had 55 in a raised pot, I called from the BB, and flopped a set (9-6-5 flop I believe). Anyway, get it in with a half stack, he has JJ, river J. Great. Another hand I have KK and resolve to play a big pot with it. I raise to $3, SB calls. Flop comes 9 high, he checks, I bet pot, he calls. Turn is a blank, same action. River is a jack, he shoves for the remaining PSB, I call. He has JJ, sigh. Really wish I didn't keep getting two outed. So tonight I decide to take a shot at $100 NL (6-max of course) after the Red Sox beat the Rockies 2-1 due to great pitching to take a 2-0 lead in the series. I sit in with $100, leaving me a measly $5.12 if I lose it. But I resolved to try and get up $45 and then leave. If I go broke I take a break or redeposit or whatever. Yep, a poker post

Not so long after my last post I checked my email and find that UB gave me a free $10 to play with. Take that along with the other $2.25 in my account and sit at the highest stakes possible, NL $50 full-ring. It just so happens to be a Bad Beat Jackpot table as well. Need to lose with quad 8s or better to qualify. Jackpot was around $189k, but some of that gets split between the other players at the table. Anyway, sit down, post in the CO. First hand 85o. Get a limper and a raise to $2.50 in early position, so fold. Fold the next crappy hand, and then get A 6 . Limper in EP, I decide to muck. Nice looking hand if I was deeper stacked. Flop comes A68 with 1 , turn blank, river 6. Would have coolered a guy who had 86. Someone else went to showdown as well, forget what he had. But Lame. Next hand I get dealt T T . Fantasy Football Spreadsheet

A few days ago I was looking online for a point calculator for fantasy football (too cheap to spend the $10 on StatTracker). Something where I can enter the players stats and calculate the total points. Unable to find one, I made it myself, in excel. I figure it might be useful to someone who happens to come across this post, so here's the link to it. It uses the default yahoo league configurations, so if your league is different you'll have to go and change some of the numbers in the formulas, or positions, or whatever. Otherwise you put the stats in the left hand column, and the points will appear on the right. I made it so there are no partial points, and so it rounds down. For example, if your QB has 249 passing yards, you will get exactly 9 points, not 10, not 9.9. The only points it does not calculate is points allowed for team defenses.
