He had K♠J♠5♠2♥. Definitely a good argument to be made for raising the flop but I thought he shows up with a straight a lot of the time and if he had something like top two on that board or was c-betting a hand like AAxx I'd get to see the river for free. Also instead of gambling with him I was planning on extracting the money on the turn or river if/when I hit. Didn't work out as planned and I had to put it in on the turn but it worked out.
Pretty satisfying that I didn't have to grind it out for 2 hours to get a win here but with no rebuys and 2 places getting paid out my payout was a mere $1.05 for only a $.55 profit. Pretty understandable that my heads-up opponent didn't rebuy given that structure. He made his money back minus the rake despite finishing 2nd out of 3.
