Got an email from ACR about using my tickets before they expire. Have two step 2 tickets left and I saw that there was a step 3 satellite in the last level of late reg so jumped in about 5 minutes before the end of that level. Fold a few hands, get AKo 3rd to act, I just open shove even though blinds are 75/150. Get called by the button who has 99 and I whiff. Use my last ticket and get in the BB with A3o with 1 limper. Flop comes AT4r. I check, this asshole pots it, and I just shove. Of course he calls and has 44. So I punted off two buyins and didn't even last 1 orbit. Maybe could have gotten away from that 2nd hand.  Really pissed that they changed the freeroll step 1 to unlimited entries. No fucking way am I going to spend hours of my time trying to finish 40th out of 1200 people. Took a shot at the GPP tonight. Tried to see if I could go back-to-back final tables with only the initial 1500 at the end of late registration. I think there were ~45 left out of 60 this time. I was down to 1405 and I pick up J♠J ♦ in the Big Blind at the 75/150-20 level. Get a raise to 705 and a call in front of me (and there’s a player who is all-in for his 20 ante as well) and I of course have to put in my final 1235 behind. Original raiser then shoves for 5027 total and the caller gets the hell out of there. I’m up against his monster hand: A♣8♣. A brilliant hand to put all of that money in I must say. The guy all-in for 20 has 62o but we get a clean runout and take it down. I'm up to 3700 and liking my chances now of making a run. Unfortunately we run card dead for a bit after this one, then I get into a hand with K♣J♣ and raise it up, BB calls. Jumped into the GPP tonight. Was expecting a quick exit and thought about the freeroll tourney the other night and how that went down and decided I was going to try something different. Instead of raising behind a limper I was going to limp behind with a good hand, hope that someone would raise, and then try to get the money in. This of course if I had enough money to do that which at first I did not since I didn't bother taking the add-on. 51 players left when I jumped in and I did not have much hope in this being a long tournament.
